This means that it is designed with the single goal of maximizing water transport across the intestinal lumen which is accomplished by rigorous design of the components included, their ratios to one another, and their final concentrations in solution. There are no extra ingredients (i.e. vitamins, minerals, etc.) and what has been included is clearly shown to impact fluid transport.
